Dr. Rubin was in the private practice of orthodontics for over 40 years, opening his Chicago practice in 1966. He officially retired from the practice in January 2010. As an orthodontist he was loved and respected by his patients and the dental community for his warm caring nature, his love for his profession, and his reputation for providing excellent treatment.
He earned is Bachelors degree from the University of Illinois. Upon finishing his general dental training he received his Masters in Orthodontics Specialty degree from the University of Nebraska. In addition to maintaining a private orthodontic practice Dr. Rubin was a staff doctor at the University of Illinois Cleft Palate Center from 1966 to 1976, and was instrumental in the development of the Lutheran General Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Deformities Clinic where he was on staff for 25 years from 1976 to 2001.
Now in retirement, Dr. Rubin enjoys spending time with his wife, his daughters and is a recent grandfather. He is an avid biker and tennis player and enjoys snow skiing. Additionally he is a painter utilizing mixed medium. The first official public showing of his artwork was in 2009.
